WP3 - Screening of bioactive molecules for post-harvest storage

A list of bioactive molecules will be the outcome of WP2. These molecules will be tested in post-harvest condition to identify those which are interesting for fruits and vegetable storage. The aim is to identify molecules which will increase storage shelf life and maintain fruit high-quality organoleptic traits. New storage protocol involving novel bioactive molecules will be created to reduce energy consumption during storage. Workshop will be organized on the use of
CA/DCA and existing protocol for post-harvest storage. It will be the opportunity for academic researchers and nonacademics staff to transfer basic knowledge acquired on fruit ripening to applied sector and to think new way to improve fruit quality and shelf-life. Organization of training school including the visit of Gulbudak facilities will be organized to train academic researchers on the impact of oxygen in fruit ripening.
